Black History M…

Black History Month for me doesn’t start with Malcolm and Martin or the cotton fields of the American South, but it starts with Adam (alayhi salam) and his dark skin and the black clay he was created from, to the wisdom of Luqman (alayhi salam) to every call to prayer with the first made by Bilal. It is a celebration of the essence of faith, a celebration that God created us all beautiful and that men and women’s value before God is their sincerity in faith. We celebrate Moses and his spirit to speak for the oppressed and we celebrate the love in our hearts for humanity as a whole, the sons and daughters of Adam.
