Miraculous

Islam creates miracles in this day and age, but its mainly not the typical walking on water or floating in the air. Instead its upholding light in times of darkness. It miraculous that in today’s age of hypersexualization, a man by his own choice chooses to look away as not to demean and objectify women. Its miraculous that when the world is asleep at the crack of dawn, a woman gets up to praise and thank her Creator. Its miraculous that Muslims greet each other with greetings of peace, a supplication for one another’s state of being in this dog eat dog world.

As one of the great lovers of God in our time, Habib Ali al-Jifri  has said “Strength is to adhere firmly to good character in a time that defeated people consider it weakness.” Muslims hold onto a different way of life, even if only a small portion of it, that in today’s age and time is seen as strange. Its a way of life that loves modesty, that believes in the family unit, and the main focus is pleasing God and being God’s slave. In a world in which we are told “just do it” and “obey your thirst”, the Muslim would rather obey God. Muslims adhere to a way of life prescribed by God, sent down to the Earth 1400 years ago and its simply miraculous. A 20 year old would rather go to college and find themselves, God and people that are like-minded, than find a party. Strangely beautiful.

As the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon said “Islam initiated as something strange, and it would revert to its (old position) of being strange, so glad  tidings for the stranger.” (Narrated in Sahih Muslim)

Glad tidings strangers.
