“10 minutes until closing” the speakers announce. The store wants you out. It will lock you out even if your pockets are lined with cash. The Kings, Princes and Presidents close their doors and placed armed guards before them. People turn on their security systems in their homes. Even your home will lock you out if you forget your keys.

The Most Forgiving, the Oft Forgiving, The Acceptor of Repentance awaits the sinner to return to Him so that He can forgive him and accept his return. The door is open.

The world may abandon you, lock you out and leave you in the cold, and your body stirs awake in the darkest part of night, but your Lord is awaiting you to call on Him. His door is open. In the Hadith Qudsi, The Prophet Muhammad (God’s peace and blessings be upon him) informs us that God says “O My servants, you sin by night and by day and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness and I shall forgive you.” (Sahih Muslim) and “He who draws close to Me a hand’s span, I will draw close to him an arm’s length. And whoever draws near Me an arm’s length, I will draw near him a fathom’s length. And whoever comes to Me walking, I will go to him running. And whoever faces Me with sins nearly as great as the earth, I will meet him with forgiveness nearly as great as that, provided he does not worship something with me.” (Sahih Muslim)
